The Evaluation of Multilingual & Multicultural Children: An Update of Best Practices Part 2 – Samuel O. Ortiz, PhD

DASP is providing complimentary CEs for this PD.

School psychologists/psychologists, working with children in a public school setting, are required to provide comprehensive and systematic evaluations that represent best practices standards with culturally and linguistically diverse students. In order to do so, school psychologists/psychologists must employ nondiscriminatory and psychometrically defensible decision-making when determining disability and special education eligibility.  As a result of this workshop, participants will be able to support, defend and document the process of nondiscriminatory evaluation via specific procedures and statements that highlight examination of fairness and equity.
